Saiwoo is an amazing restaurant in the sketchy downtown area -- and well worth a trip there. The calamari melts in your mouth -- I detest it anywhere else, & never miss it at Saiwoo -- delicious!! The staff is so kind & accommodating. They made my husband's birthday an event -- Crown Royal toasts, & outstanding mango sticky rice ice cream & a,ding along!! The ginger beef & green onion hot pot is superb -- don't miss a chance to experience this Edmonton fixture -- it has been around for so long because it is consistent, has lovely staff, great portions & value for your money. Keep up the great food & we'll be back soon !

My friend and I go there twice a year for our birthdays. The food is awesome! The authentic Chinese cuisine is one of the best in the city. Everyone there is so nice to you. There's a lobster with noodle and cream sauce that you can only get there. Love it!

This restaurant has been in the heart of China town for many decades. For good reasons, they are still around. The famous fried calamari never disappoints. No where can you find a replica of their secret recipe. This dish is a must when you visit Sai Woo. There are many other traditional Chinese dishes that are fantastic. I've been coming here since this place opened back in the day, and will definitely continue to do so. Highly recommended.

My family’s FAVOURITE Chinese restaurant in Edmonton. We are from Calgary and often visit our family up here. Every time we come, we always come to Sai Woo for delicious Chinese food. Their calamari, fried fish, and garlic shrimp are unmatched. Never overcooked and perfectly crispy on the outside. The batter is nice and light and every bite is always delightful. Definitely come here for some solid Chinese food.

Sai Woo offers an exceptional dining experience with a classic Chinese restaurant look. The attentive staff and diverse menu left a lasting impression. The standout dish was the fried fish – perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. Definitely recommend.

This restaurant has been a family-run favorite for years, and it never disappoints. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The owner is a genuinely kind and down-to-earth person who clearly cares about his customers. If you're looking for amazing Chinese food downtown, I’d definitely recommend checking this place out.

It was our first time trying some Cantonese dishes at this Sai Woo Garden Restaurant. We were about to leave Edmonton but decided to grab some dinner here as we drove past Chinatown. We ordered Steamed Fish in Soy Sauce, Chow Mien with Mixed Vegetables & Bbq Pork Slices, Beef with Ginger & Onions and also Stir Fry Gailan with Minced Garlic. Food was steaming hot when served and tasted delicious... not too oily and the fish was not overcooked and we are happy with that. We also got our fortune cookies at the end of the meal!
